Despite the fact we’ve just spent the last year in change trying to figure out what would happen in Avengers: Endgame after the cataclysmic cliffhanger ending that Infinity War left us with, the blockbuster extravaganza managed to pack in a surprising number of unexpected twists and turns. The most surprising moments saw some characters who’d been relegated to supporting roles in previous movies, or entirely new characters, coming back bigger and better with important roles in the story....

Over the past eight years, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has grown to include a massive roster of heroes, but also a growing number of sections of the universe. Phase 1 was mostly dominated by humans, but even then Thor gave way to the introduction of Asgardians. Avengers then brought the first true alien race into the universe with the Chitauri being used as pawns in Loki’s plan, but the MCU has grown much larger since....

Now that Captain America: Civil War has premiered in the U.S., Marvel Studios has officially kicked off Phase 3 of its Marvel Cinematic Universe, which will include plenty of new characters. In addition to introducing Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) in Civil War - both of whom will go on to star in their own standalone movies - Phase 3 will feature films following Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Captain Marvel....

Warner Bros. is developing an animated Batman Beyond movie for theatrical release. The film will be based on the animated series of the same name, which ran from 1999-2001. Batman Beyond was a follow-up to the immensely popular Batman: The Animated Series. The show takes place in a future Gotham with an aging Bruce Wayne finally choosing to abandon the mantle of Batman. After many years without the Dark Knight protecting Gotham, Terry McGinnis stumbles upon the secret of Bruce’s former life....

One talented, creative Avengers fan just created some eye-popping neon character posters to celebrate Avengers: Infinity War. The long-awaited sequel is less than three months away from release, and finally fans have gotten a real taste of the movie with the first official trailer and a new preview that dropped during the Super Bowl. Although the imminent release of the extremely well-received Black Panther is picking up much of the Marvel buzz right now, the promotional push for Infinity War is very much in motion....

Artwork possibly associated with next year’s Avengers 4 has leaked online, offering what may be our first glimpse of the big sequel. Marvel Studios is currently keeping every detail about Avengers 4 under wraps, refusing to even announce the film’s title. That high degree of secrecy makes the image particularly exciting. It’s not possible to say for certain that this artwork is official. The website that originally published it didn’t give away its sources, so it should be taken with a pinch of salt....

Whenever a new Marvel Cinematic Universe movie is released, the world seems to collectively lose it’s mind. Every inch of social and mainstream media is occupied by said movie. And unsurprisingly, each movie spawns it’s own personal memes. Batgirl and Harley Quinn are the only constants in Birds of Prey’s dueling scripts. Warner Bros. has rediscovered interest in a female-led project. After finding great success with Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, one of the reported priorities for the studio was Batgirl. Joss Whedon wound up leaving that project, giving a very uncertain future. But they also developed several projects for Margot Robbie to star as Harley Quinn. One of those was Birds of Prey, and it’s now a major priority after Christina Hodson delivered a great script....

BBC’s War of the Worlds TV show is finally expected to release in 2019. Eighty years after an infamous radio broadcast supposedly sparked a mass panic, the BBC is translating H.G. Wells’ classic story, War of the Worlds, for the small screen. The BBC’s War of the Worlds TV show was first reported in development as far back as 2015, but was put on hold until 2017, by which time the rights to War of the Worlds had passed back into the public domain....

Former Bachelorette Hannah Brown is making a splash on the newest season of Dancing With the Stars. After last week’s fun Cha Cha, Brown and partner Alan Bersten switched gears this week with a smooth Viennese Waltz. Their dance was a smashing success, earning the duo the highest scores of the night. After a particularly difficult experience on her season of The Bachelorette, Brown started her journey on Dancing With the Stars last week full of hope and optimism....

The Bachelorette star Hannah Brown wants people to stop comparing her to supermodel Gigi Hadid, who was recently spotted on a date with her ex. The reality TV star set things straight for her followers on Instagram. At the end of the latest season of The Bachelorette, Brown chose contestant Jed Wyatt. Unfortunately, shortly after the two were engaged, Brown found out Wyatt had been dating someone just before filming for The Bachelorette began....

Warner Brothers have released the final details of a Deluxe Limited Edition Blu-ray collection of the classic Batman: The Animated Series. Though the show’s long-awaited release on Blu-ray was announced earlier this year, there was no indication of just what extras fans might expect in the new collection. Nor was there any hint of a Limited Edition version of the collector’s set being in the works. First airing in the fall of 1992, Batman: The Animated Series is widely considered to be one of the best animated television series of all time and easily the best of the many cartoons to star Batman....

The title Avengers: Endgame isn’t just a callback back to a quote from Avengers: Infinity War; it actually goes back even further to Avengers: Age of Ultron. While the most famous instance of a character saying “endgame” is arguably when Doctor Strange said “We’re in the endgame now” before he faded to dust thanks to Thanos’ finger snap (now officially known as The Decimation), it was actually the Avenger he said it to, Tony Stark, who first uttered the word in reference to the cosmic calamities facing Earth’s Mightiest Heroes....

The movie doesn’t need the box office help, but Marvel Studios should move the release date for Avengers 4 up. There were plenty of surprises that came with Avengers: Infinity War, but possibly the biggest came before the movie hit theaters. Following a seemingly random tweet from Robert Downey Jr., Marvel announced that Avengers: Infinity War was moving up a week to hit theaters worldwide on the same day. The move paid off in a major way for the nineteenth MCU movie, and is exactly why it needs to happen again but with the followup....

Kevin Feige teased that Avengers 4 will be about the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes learning how to become “a true team” together. Fans may still not know the title for next year’s Avengers movie, but the man behind the MCU has provided a hint about what they can expect from the next Marvel Studios ensemble and it sounds like the remaining heroes, as well as their upcoming recruits, will have to set aside their differences to ultimately defeat Thanos....

A fourth season for Batman Beyond is a possibility if the recently announced Blu-ray set sells well. Batman Beyond originally premiered in 1999 and followed Terry McGinnis as the new Batman under the guidance of an elderly Bruce Wayne. Although many fans were skeptical before it premiered, Batman Beyond would go on to be one of the most acclaimed DC animated shows of all time. It expanded on the mythos of Batman’s universe, bringing the continuity of Batman: The Animated Series many years into the future....
