Continuing to serve their best shortbreads, cookies, cakes, and ice cream — Batter Bakery, as far as the café, will be open for breakfast and lunch, with items like quiche, breakfast quinoa, and biscuit breakfast sandwiches, in addition to espresso drinks made with beans from Equator Coffee.
Batter Bakery and Square Meals, the dining duo that had shared the Polk Street space since 2011. The two businesses, which have always operated separately but side-by-side, have parted ways since December, as Batter Bakery moves down the street, Square Meals closed for good.
Production for Batter’s other locations, including a kiosk at 555 California Street, a retail shop at One Market Plaza, and stands at Saturday’s Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and Sunday’s Stonestown Market, will all occur in the new Pine Street space.
So what can you expect from this brand spankin’ new store front? How about evening baking, cookie decorating classes, and opportunities for private bookings. Perfect for the beginner baker looking to expand their cookbook.
