With Warner Bros.’ blockbuster Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice nearing the home stretch of its theatrical run, the fervor surrounding it – both positive and negative – has largely died down. Still, while those who enjoyed the film wait for its arrival on Blu-ray, WB/DC has seen fit to release a major clip from the movie online for the first time. The clip features Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, who was acknowledged by many as one of the most enjoyable performances in the film.

Despite the various criticisms launched at BVS, even those who weren’t huge fans of the film seemed to agree that at least two things were done well: the introduction of Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Gadot as Wonder Woman. Considering the casting of Affleck and Gadot were major points of contention during the film’s early days, the success of both performances has gone on to convince some BVS detractors that there is plenty to look forward to in the upcoming Batman and Wonder Woman solo films.

While Zack Snyder still has yet to provide exact details on what additional scenes fans can expect to see in the upcoming R-rated extended cut, Jesse Eisenberg has already suggested that Lex Luthor’s plot arc was trimmed down in the journey to theaters, making one wonder whether home video viewers will be treated to additional sequences involving Wonder Woman. With her much-anticipated solo movie coming next year, any scenes that shed more light on Wonder Woman’s latest incarnation will likely be appreciated.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is now playing in U.S. theaters. Suicide Squad will arrive on August 5, 2016, followed by Wonder Woman on June 2, 2017; Justice League Part One on November 17, 2017; The Flash on March 16, 2018; Aquaman on July 27, 2018; an untitled DC Film on October 5th, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Justice League Part Two on June 14, 2019; an untitled DC film on November 1, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps. on June 19, 2020.
