The Bachelorette runner-up Tyler Cameron supports Gigi Hadid through the tough passing of her grandma by attending the funeral with her. Supermodel Gigi bid farewell to her beloved grandmother Ans van den Herik this past Thursday.

One of the contestants vying for Hannah Brown’s heart on the latest season of The Bachelorette, Cameron made it to the top two before being cut-off mid-proposal speech as Brown tried to let him down easy. Brown then went on to accept Jed Wyatt’s proposal and then after just five-weeks of engagement, the news broke about Wyatt betraying his ex-girlfriend to come on the reality show. Brown quickly dumped her fiancé and asked out runner-up Cameron for a second chance. Photos of Cameron leaving the former-Bachelorette star’s apartment were released after their date, but just days later Cameron was seen with supermodel and Vogue cover girl Gigi Hadid. The two became serious quickly and have been inseparable ever since. The two have been spotted all over New York City as they continue to date this past month. Now as Gigi invited Cameron at such a personal event, it has proved to everyone how close he pair have grown.

Gigi opened up on social media about the loss of her grandmother that passed away at 78-years-old, she refers to as “Oma.” The 24-year-old supermodel wrote via Instagram about her grandmother’s battle with cancer, writing a sweet caption on a black and white photo of the two of them. She wrote, “OUR QUEEN ANGEL fought cancer six times in her life with courage, strength, and grace while being the greatest mother and grandmother.” She concluded the touching post with, “She is an honorable guide we will carry with us forever. We love you more than words, our beautiful wonderful Oma.” See the heartfelt Instagram post below.

The group, all dressed in black, attended their grandmother’s funeral in the Netherlands this past Thursday. The former Bachelorette contestant Cameron was arm in arm with Gigi, consoling her in her time of mourning. The photographs were taken at the funeral also show the new couple alongside Gigi’s sister Bella Hadid and her younger brother, Anwar Hadid, and his girlfriend and pop star Dua Lipa. Then there was, of course, the matriarch of the Hadid clan, Yolanda Hadid, and her boyfriend Joseph Jingoli.

The couple that has only been linked with each other the last month, have proven how serious they are about one another by having Cameron there at such a personal event. Cameron, who was in the running as the next star of The Bachelor, seems like he won’t need to be going on the show to find love, as it seems that spark between the two models has ignited. Fan-favorite from The Bachelorette, Cameron is proving what a gentle soul he is by supporting Gigi in her time of need.
