The Bachelorette’s Hannah Brown recently showed off her battle scars from training for Dancing with the Stars. Choosing between 30 men may have been tough on the emotions, but her latest television venture appears to be taking a much more physical toll.

The time in between The Bachelorette and Dancing with the Stars has not been easy for Brown. She ended an engagement with Jed Wyatt and then went on a date with runner-up Tyler Cameron that didn’t progress into a long-term relationship. Since then, she’s made public how tough it’s been going through all of this in front of millions of viewers. She was an obvious casting pick for Dancing with the Stars, considering many of the leads of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have gone on to star in the show. She was cast alongside other reality stars, including Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown and a controversial selection in former White House press secretary Sean Spicer. Although Brown will likely be happy with her Dancing with the Stars experience once it’s over, it doesn’t look like it’s been a cakewalk in the early going.

Brown posted to her Instagram story (via: Us Weekly) to show off the nasty blisters on her heels. She captioned the fire-enhanced picture with, “No pain, no gain. Also, I know. Ewww." While the dance moves are likely new to the season 15 Bachelorette, some of her experiences are familiar. Brown also said in a subsequent video on her story, “This is the first time I’ve ever actually soaked my feet. That’s saying something." The caption read, “And it’s only day 2.”

Brown then realized that her feet had gone numb once prior. It was a memorable night for her and the Bachelor Nation fanbase. She wrote, “Jk. There was the one other time when my feet went numb meeting 30 guys outside of this mansion one night.” So, maybe there was some physical pain involved in being The Bachelorette as well. Nonetheless, it’s clear her involvement on Dancing with the Stars will involve a different type of challenge altogether than the one she experienced on The Bachelorette.

Dancing with the Stars is the perfect platform for Brown. She gets to continue to be on the screen and please her loyal fanbase without participating in a show that dominates the social media conversation for two hours each week. As endless drama continues to unfold on Bachelor in Paradise, Brown’s relatively less in-the-spotlight television presence offers fewer opportunities for social media trolls to scrutinize her every move. And, after all, the worst that can happen on Dancing with the Stars is that she falls down. Brown has already had that, and much worse, happen to her on national television, so there’s not much that can faze her at this point. She continues, unapologetically, to live her best life.
