The Bachelor’s new leading man Peter Weber was recently seen in public for the first time since his terrible face injury. He was spotted in Peru by a superfan who wanted to take pictures with him as he was walking down the street. He is seen with nothing but a small bandaid on his forehead. Chris Harrison confirmed to fans of the face injury a day after it happened on October 8, 2019.
The face injury happened while the crew was filming in Costa Rica. Peter was holding wine glasses in his hands while trying to step onto a golf cart during a golfing trip. That’s when he misstepped and fell face-first into the glass. The resulting cut was pretty intense and required a two-hour drive to the hospital, where a specialized surgeon could give him 22 stitches. He also underwent a brief and successful surgery.
According to Us Weekly, the picture was taken with Sabryna Salazar, a fan in Peru who spotted Weber in the streets drinking his coffee. Since the filming of Peter’s season of The Bachelor has wrapped, he’s likely visiting Peru while on vacation. With only a single bandaid on his forehead, it’s clear he’s made a full recovery since cutting his head open. Check out the image below:
Fans were curious how this injury has affected the new season of The Bachelor, but filming reportedly continued soon after the injury. Despite suffering a “freak accident,” Chris Harrison confirmed that he was completely OK and quickly recovered. Production continued shortly thereafter with little to no consequence. Peter was reportedly very excited and motivated this season to push through and meet his fiancé. His speedy recovery may have been influenced by his readiness to find the woman of his dreams.
While the threat of injury on the set of The Bachelor isn’t high, Ali Fedotowsky of The Bachelorette’s season 6 claimed that she was also worried about sustaining a workplace injury on the set of the famous dating show. She said, because of all the intense dates that were going on all the time, an accident like Peter’s was bound to happen at some point. It did not happen during either her season of The Bachelor, where she competed for the love of a different pilot, or The Bachelorette. As for Peter, he’s completely fine and showing no signs of any trauma, and he clearly has a lot of fans and friends hoping for well-being.
