Demi Burnett of Bachelor in Paradise is single no longer. Recently, the Bachelor Nation sweetheart went Instagram-official with her new guy.
Demi first made waves on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor, where she was both a villain and a fan favorite. Her snarky behavior rubbed some people the wrong way, but most fans fell in love with her outspoken and unapologetic nature. She was an obvious choice for Bachelor in Paradise, but no one expected her journey to play out the way it did on the show. Rather than following the typical format, Demi revealed early in the season that she was bisexual. Then, she made history when she stayed on Bachelor in Paradise and continued a relationship with a woman she was dating before the show. She proposed to girlfriend Kristian Haggerty at the end of the series, but the couple broke up soon after the reunion special. Since then, Demi hasn’t revealed any public information regarding her relationships, but all that changed with a recent Instagram post.
According to Cosmopolitan, Demi Burnett has a new man in her life. Demi first posted a photo with her boo, a Los Angeles-based artist named Slater Davis, on Valentine’s Day. The picture, however, seemed friendly enough. In fact, it was a sponsored post that depicted the couple wearing face masks, drinking wine, and shared a cheese board. Demi even referred to her new beau as a friend in the caption, so fans didn’t think they were a thing. But a picture posted just four days ago, cleared things right up. While celebrating her 25th birthday, Demi posted a photo kissing Davis, accompanied by the caption, “The present I never knew I needed.” Check out this Instagram-official announcement below:
But Demi wasn’t done sharing in her newfound happiness. Just a couple days after her birthday post, she put up another pic of her and her new man. This photo was…ahem, a little racy. In the pic, Demi is straddling Davis while the two share what looks like a loving smooch. Let’s just say it wouldn’t be Instagram appropriate for some, but Demi doesn’t seem to care. But Demi isn’t the only one announcing their relationship. Davis also put up a photo, though his isn’t quite as couple-y as Demi’s.
Demi’s relationship with Kristian was constantly scrutinized and put under a microscope. As the first lesbian couple to come out of The Bachelor franchise, the two women were met with a lot of expectations and faced a lot of disappointment when they eventually called their relationship off. Her new relationship likely won’t face the same amount of pressure, which could allow it to thrive. Whether it’s a short-lived fling or a serious partnership, Demi certainly seems happy with her new guy.
