Bachelor in Paradise alum Taylor Nolan is back on the market. She opens up all about her past relationships including her reality TV romance with Derek Peth and most importantly reflects on his affection, which makes fans wonder if they will be getting back together.
Nolan first competed for Nick Viall’s heart on season 21 of The Bachelor. When she was booted from the competition she continued her search for love on season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise. While filming Nolan and Peth fell hard for each other. It was a whirlwind TV romance. Although the couple didn’t leave the island engaged, Peth did get down on one knee for Nolan at the reunion show. Sadly, the two called off their engagement a little less than a year in June 2018.
In Nolan’s latest episode of her podcast Let’s Talk About It With Taylor Nolan, which airs every Tuesday, Nolan opened up about her past relationship with Peth after she’s newly single from her most recent relationship. She said, “I have ended my no longer current relationship. I don’t know how you say that.” She continued, “I’m now single. ‘Canada man’ and I have decided to part ways and it was a little over a year, like a few weeks over a year. It was really a long time coming actually.” She took a step back and asked herself how much longer she was willing to be unhappy and how that advice helped her move on. She admitted, “I want more than this. I’m worthy of more than this. I wouldn’t want a friend to stay in this.”
Nolan revealed that she had been craving the affection Peth gave her in her most recent partner, but she never received it. Vanessa Grimaldi, who was a guest on the episode, asked Nolan if she would ever get together with Peth now that she’s single. Nolan was hesitant to answer. Grimaldi then stepped in to say how there were parts of the relationship with Peth that Nolan did appreciate that she wasn’t getting in her most recent relationship with “Canada man.” The mental health counselor agreed with Grimaldi on how Peth was able to give those parts in their past relationship. Nolan also admitted that she hasn’t spoken to Peth in over a year, since their breakup. Later in the podcast, Nolan said she would not pursue a romantic relationship with Peth. However, according to a Us Weekly source, Nolan isn’t totally against the idea because the two might have some unfinished business, saying, “They never really received closure.”
Peth joined season 6 of Bachelor In Paradise for his search for love. His eyes landed on Tayshia Adams but she already had John Paul Jones pursuing her. Jones and Peth ended up in a brawl for Adams’ love. Peth eventually decided to leave the show and continue his search for the one outside of reality TV.
