Babyface replied, “It’s interesting. When you say master, what makes you ruler? It number of hits that you have or it number of people you contact?
“You know, the quantity of people that you give that tendency to where when they consider home, they think about R&B, and that you take them and you energize them.
“R&B’s a genuinely hard one to figure out like a master of, regardless, when we picked the Leader of Pop. Likewise, when Michael picked the Leader of Pop… it was overwhelming with the hits that he had and the tunes that he had.
“So it’s fairly overwhelming. If you’re doing it subject to hits, we can go down the line and see the quantity of top 10s you that had… the quantity of number ones that you’ve had and you could pick it that way, but by then one could fight that notwithstanding the way that you had that, that wasn’t my tune.”
That is what babyface requested notwithstanding the conversation including R. Kelly, he would have been the Ruler of R&B.
The entertainer and record creator added that specific people could hit up a Chris Hearty hued show and know all of the words, yet others will continue to “love the manner in which it feels, yet we won’t know everything.”
