A new video shows how the Avengers: Endgame trailer should have ended, by introducing the X-Men and several other Marvel characters. The first trailer for Avengers 4 was released online a few weeks ago, and fans have already started dissecting the trailer for clues about the upcoming film. Avengers: Endgame will be the fourth film in the Avengers series, and the 22nd overall film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Like most trailers, the Avengers: Endgame trailer was only a couple minutes long, but fans were able to pull a lot of information from those few short minutes. The trailer confirmed the subtitle would be “Endgame”, which is part of the line Doctor Strange muttered at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. The trailer also seemed to support the theory that Avengers 4 will show the superheroes going back in time to stop Thanos from getting the Infinity Stones. While the trailer also revealed Hawkeye as his alter ego Ronin, the trailer didn’t reveal any new characters, and some people wanted the trailer to end differently.

In the newest video from How It Should Have Ended, the creative team introduces the X-Men and several other Marvel characters. The video focuses on the final scene of the trailer where Cap and Black Widow are watching a recording of the front door where Scott Lang is asking to be buzzed into the building. The video then humorously shows the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider, and other Marvel superheroes wanting to join the fight against Thanos, before non-Marvel properties start to show up as well. The full video can be seen below.

While Avengers: Endgame might be the most anticipated Marvel movie of 2019, Disney is releasing two other films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well. They will begin the year with Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson, and will also release Spider-Man: Far From Home a few months after Avengers: Endgame. Right after Avengers: Infinity War was released, many people thought Thanos’ destruction would be reversed since actors are contracted to appear in future Marvel movies, which the above video also jokes about.

While characters like RoboCop and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stand zero chance of appearing in the film, characters like the Fantastic Four and X-Men could potentially be introduced in the movie since Disney recently acquired 20th Century Fox. Many fans would love to see these characters join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but their inclusion in Avengers: Endgame seems unlikely since the film will already have a ton of superheroes. That being said, Marvel will likely say goodbye to more than one character in the next Avengers film, so they will eventually need to introduce more characters into their cinematic universe.
