The Skype iOS app is finally getting the background blur feature that first landed on desktop versions of the app way back in February of last year … Background blur works in a similar way to the first generation Portrait photo feature on iPhones, detecting faces and then artificially blurring everything behind them. However, it doesn’t require devices with TrueDepth cameras, relying entirely on AI. Microsoft noted when it came to Mac, Windows, and Linux last year that it required a decent amount of video-processing power, so that may explain the delay before coming to mobile devices....

Batman: Arkham fans are playing detective after new Batman 4 game teasers dropped. Warner Bros. Games Montreal, developers of Arkham Origins, dropped its latest teaser for what many assume is a new Arkham game - and with it, a new puzzle to solve. Fans have already pieced the latest clues together, but this months-long slow tease has still left unanswered questions about these symbols and what story they reveal. The studio shared a series of images across various social media platforms, each containing a fragment of what appears to be part of the Batman 4 logo....

After far too long apart, Batman and Deathstroke will soon face off again in 2020, with a new story arc written by James Tynion IV and art by Tony S. Daniel and Danny Miki. While a fight between Bruce Wayne and Slade Wilson doesn’t happen often in comics, when these two legendary fighters do occasionally engage in fisticuffs, comic nerds tend to take notice. And with both characters being put through the wringer in their own respective books of late, it will be interesting to see how these two battle-hardened men act when thrown into a direct confrontation… and who will walk away the worse for wear....

Concept art for Avengers: Endgame shows the Frost Giants were almost included in the final battle. The epic sequence saw most of the MCU’s heroes take on Thanos and his army in an attempt to stop him from destroying the universe (again). In addition to showing the return of all characters who were previously killed by Thanos’ snap, it included additional fighters like Wakandans, remaining Asgardians, and Masters of the Mystic Arts, making the battle the biggest one the MCU has seen yet....

The Avengers: Endgame cast opens up about the emotional process of filming the movie in a new featurette. Aside from being the culminating film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Joe and Anthony-directed flick also wrapped up several arcs of fan-favorite characters. It would be a gross understatement to say that Infinity War will be packed with heroes (and villains) and aptly so, considering that it is the culmination of 10 years’ worth of cinematic storytelling....

Battlefield V might not have been the game that everyone had been hoping for, but it’s still getting content coming through for its player base. Some of its new content seems particularly ambitious, especially a new set of maps that are on the way for the game. Although many people had been extremely excited for Battlefield’s return to WWII, Battlefield V did not quite meet expectations. A lack of cohesion over what it wants to be has seen criticism from some, while its real money microtransactions did little to help the title or EA’s reputation when it comes to purchasable content in its published games....

Actor Richard Hatch, who was known for his role as Captain Apollo on the original Battlestar Galactica series, has passed away from pancreatic cancer at age 71 according to TMZ. Hatch was born on May 21, 1945. He started his career in theater before being cast as Philip Brent Sr. on the soap opera All My Children in the early ’70s, a role he played for two years. He began to pop up on episodes of other shows, including Hawaii Five-0 and The Waltons....

Despite some initial setbacks, Baywatch became one of the most successful television series ever. While the show centered on a team of lifeguards rescuing people from the deep blue sea, the cast members’ careers stayed afloat as Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra, and David Hasselhoff became huge stars after appearing mostly in slow-motion on the small screen. Sun, sea, sand and an all-new cast line-up are set to feature in the big budget film adaptation of the hit series, which is currently in production....
