It looks as though Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will, at last, reunite to play the buddy cop duo Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett in the spring of 2017 - when filming on the third Bad Boys installment, Bad Boys for Life, is slated to get underway. The followup to director Michael Bay’s 2003 hit action movie Bad Boys II (itself, a sequel to Bay’s 1995 breakout film, Bad Boys) has been stuck in development purgatory for several years, but appears to be moving along steadily now under the supervision of its screenwriter and director, Joe Carnahan....

The long-awaited Baldur’s Gate 3 gameplay reveal is coming sooner than fans might have thought, as Larian Studios announced today that the title will be showcased during a PAX East 2020 presentation in just over a week on February 27, 2020. Baldur’s Gate 3 is the third instalment in a franchise that’s name carries a lot of weight with RPG fans, having provided the blueprint for the genre’s progression in terms of world-building, character interactions, skill trees, and more....

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice was a jumpstart for the DC Extended Universe, running on from the fairly standalone Man of Steel into a massive wider world to rival Marvel’s. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo acknowledge the dangers of overpowering Captain Marvel in Avengers: Endgame. The newest superhero in the MCU, Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers is set to debut in her origin film first, Captain Marvel, before eventually joining the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes quest to take down Thanos (Josh Brolin) in the Phase 3 capper. The MCU will wrap-up its 22-film narrative with Endgame. Not much is known regarding the plot specifics of the film - something that Marvel Studios is intentionally doing....

Avengers: Infinity War finally premiered this week, shortly ahead of its general release, and it has already received a ‘Certified Fresh’ seal from review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes. This badge of critic approval is given to movies that receive more than 40 reviews, with a “Tomatometer” score of 75% or more. As of the time of writing, Infinity War has a score of 87% with more than 80 reviews counted....

Bare Bones Software has just released an important new update to its BBEdit HTML and text editor. Version 12.1 makes BBEdit a 64-bit application for the first time, which has performance advantages now and future-proofs BBEdit for upcoming macOS updates. Apple has been signaling clearly that a future version of macOS (possibly macOS 10.14) will make 32-bit apps run in a limited compatibility mode. Apple fully dropped support for 32-bit apps with iOS 11 requiring 64-bit to even launch or remain on the App Store....

Although Brown is now a single woman, it doesn’t appear that she’s come to Paradise searching for love. Brown’s visit to Mexico so soon after her season finished airing is not unprecedented. In season 5 of Bachelor in Paradise, Becca Kufrin showed up to Paradise, primarily to provide closure with soon-to-be Bachelor Colton Underwood....

Rafe Spall and Eleanor Tomlinson star in the new trailer for The War of the Worlds, a three-episode BBC miniseries based on the classic science fiction tale by H.G. Wells. Unlike other adaptations, such as Steven Spielberg’s 2005 film or the upcoming modern-set TV adaptation, BBC’s War of the Worlds is a period drama, set a few years later than Wells’ book, in Edwardian England. The story of War of the Worlds has been adapted so many times that most are probably familiar with the premise....

UPDATE: Disney has confirmed these rumors are not true. Avengers 4 may be marketed in a very different way than other Marvel Studios movies, which could impact what’s revealed in trailers and posters. After a massively successful 2018 marking the 10th anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios will return in 2019 with three more big films. First will be Captain Marvel, the studio’s first female-fronted solo movie, then Spider-Man: Far From Home will wrap up 2019 by kicking off Phase 4....
